gold c3po Lego – cool.

From 2000 to 2007, the Lego Star Wars C-3PO was a light gold colour. Then, in 2007, Lego made 10,000 chrome gold limited edition C-3PO Minifigures and they were inserted into random 2007 LEGO Star Wars Sets for lucky buyers to get a suprise. Also, five 14-carat gold C-3PO Minifigures were produced. In 2008, the colour of C-3PO was changed to a darker shade of gold and is used in LEGO sets today.

Gold Star Wars Lego C3P0 (or is it C-3PO)

These came out in special packs a while ago, I guess they are rare Lego collectables.

C-3PO is a protocol droid built from spare parts by nine-year-old Anakin Skywalker. The droid’s was a secret, as Anakin didn’t want him taken away by his master, Watto. The number 3 in the droid’s name was Anakin’s stab to show that the droid would be the third member of his family, beside himself and his mum. According to A Guide to the Star Wars Universe, C-3PO was activated around 95 PE. By the time Anakin was freed from slavery by Qui-Gon Jinn, C-3PO was nearly completed. All he had missing was an outer skin and some small modifications. Eventually, C-3PO was given a gold outer skin like we see in the movies and was reunited with the astromech droid named R2-D2 years before the Battle of Yavin.

The two had many escapades dodging Olag Greck in the Kalarba System. C3PO was the victim of tampering by Movo Brattakin, who inserted an initiative submodule in his leg to help expose Greck and Jace Forno on Boonda the Hutt's moon. After these adventures, C-3PO was ultimately assigned to use in the Imperial Senate, translating the proceedings for a number of alien diplomats. It was during this time that he became "friends" with R2-D2, one of the Navy's astromech droids. Even though they had separate functions and programming, they maintained their version of friendship. Note that, despite what the Droids comics say about their meeting, the Star Wars Radio Drama infers that C-3PO and R2-D2 didn't meet until C-3PO was assigned as R2-D2's translator during routine labour assigning on the Tantive IV. When the Senator Palpatine began to gain his power, the growing Alliance took Threepio under their domain and assigned him to mediate the various agreements between the Alliance and alien worlds. One such mission led him onto the Tantive IV, where he was tagging along with R2-D2 one too many times.

When Artoo escaped from the ship in an escape pod, Threepio followed him, fearing that the Empire would only melt him down. Since then, he has been owned by Luke Skywalker following his auction at the hands of one of Tatooine's roving Jawa clans. Luke is C-3PO's 43rd master, having been owned by diplomats and starshipwrights before then. He has helped Luke whenever possible, and has also maintained his friendship with Artoo, although just like old friends they constantly bicker at each other. C-3PO was portrayed by Anthony Daniels in all three Star Wars films as well as for both Star Wars radio dramas on National Public Radio.

In the Star Wars universe there is a restaurant called BanthaQuik located on the planet Bescane. Among the fantastic range of foods served are Tusken Special (which are Bantha meat shish-kababs) and Ithor Delight (that is scrambled Ooglata eggs)!

Star Wars fun facts -  In the book Tales from the Mos Eisley Cantina a stormtrooper squadron called Alvien was assigned to set up roadblocks around Mos Eisley in order to try to stop C-3PO and R2-D2 from escaping the planet Tatooine.

Luke Skywalkers adoptive Uncle was Owen Lars. Owen was Obi-Wan Kenobi’s younger brother and people always thought he would be as great as his famous brother. Owen did not want that kind of stress, so he moved to Tatooine with his wife, Beru Weth, and they set up a moisture farm.

You know the story - They raised Luke as their own son and did their best to keep Luke from realising his true identity. Owen bought the R2-D2 and C-3PO droids , Luke tried to talk him into going to the Academy early. Owen refused to let him go. Luke stormed off. Owen Lars was killed when a group of Stormtroopers were tracking down R2-D2 and C-3PO and burnt down the moisture farm when they did not fine them.

Phil Brown was the actor playing Owen Lars in Star Wars movie but Thomas Hill did the character in the Radio version.

This is a pretty good behind the scenes Star Wars photo showing all the main actors from all the Star Wars movies made plus George Lucas holding a Yoda puppet.

Jar Jar Binks, like most Gungans, was skinny, lanky and had big frills behind his head. He was exiled from Otoh Gunga for repeatedly making blunders that placed other Gungan members in danger, including crashing Boss Nass’ heyblibber, swamping Boss Nass’s mansion while standing-in as a caterer, and opening the bubbles of the creatures in Otoh Gunga’s zoo.

Jar Jar was eating clams and drifting around the marshlands of Naboo when the Trade Federation began landing its assault force. He was saved by Qui-Gon Jinn, who rescued Jar Jar from added disciplinary action by demanding a life-debt on him. Boss Nass was hesitant to relinquish the chance to penalize Jar Jar, but was forced to comply with the life debt. Jar Jar then travelled with Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan Kenobi, aiding in protecting Queen Amidala throughout her skirmish with the Federation.

Jar Jar’s relationship with Queen Amidala led to a better relationship when she asked Boss Nass for support in the Battle of Naboo. Boss Nass attributed Jar Jar with getting the Gungans and humans together in peace, and was promoted to the rank of General for his hard work. Jar Jar Binks was acted by Ahmad Best in the movie Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace.

Great Free Star Wars Movie in Paper

Here is a fantastic Star Wars movie – made completely in paper. Gee some people are talented, aren’t they? I am not sure about the music that plays, doesn’t suit the movie for me.

Some R2-D2 facts.

Alvien was the name of the Stormtrooper squadron that was assigned to set up blockades in Mos Eisley to stop R2-D2 and C-3PO from fleeing Tatooine.

In the first draft of Star Wars Artoo Deetoo was designated A-2 not R2-D2 .

According to the original Revell model kit, R2-D2's serial number was Y477Q90 and the instruction sheet says that R2-D2 was manufactured by Imperial Cybernetics Corporation.

Cool solid gold C3P0, black chrome Darth Vader

Collecting star wars action figures and Star Wars Lego minifigures is more than just buying them and displaying them like you would any other collectable. Instead it's more about preserving either your child hood (or your new childhood). I think it is really cool that these old toys and new toys can be saved for future generations.

The first thing to note whether collecting vintage or new star wars collectables is that the value only increases with the availability of the item. Sadly many new Star Wars toys from like Target and K-mart will be the same price ten years from now or the price will maybe even drop, there are just so many of them.

The trick that occurred after the 70's and 80's Star Wars toys hit the market was people didn't know they would soon one day become very valuable, kids played with them as they should, and then later on were just thrown out. Did you know that the first company's to create star wars toys and action figures were Kenner and Palitoy and Toltoys and with so many variations of products these items are some of the most sought after Star Wars merchandise. Kenner didn't launch their line until after the first Christmas the Star Wars movie hit the big screen so avid buyers had to wait. But they did give a cardboard box called the "early bird package" that was sold in stores in which figures were sent to you later along with some other premium items. They tried to sell the idea the kids would love an empty box with a certificate in it for Christmas and then get their actual toys in February – I would have hated that when I was a kid!

So what is the most valuable star wars item you ask? Well many people including me say that the double telescoping lightsaber Ben Kenobi in original 12 back package is the rarest raising prices as much of 30,000 dollars for highly graded AFA(action figure graded) packaged ones. I am thinking it is cheaper and more fun to collect the rare Lego Star Wars sets. May the force be with you.

Well this isn’t a cool Star Wars photo but is a cool Star Wars video. I assume these Star Wars bears are toys you can buy but then again maybe someone has just made them up  themselves – I don’t know. Either way that look pretty good and I can see people wanting to collect these star wars teddy bears.

Looks like there is Yoda bear,Darth Maul bear, Darth Vader bear, C3P0 bear, R2D2 bear, Wookie bear, Ewok bear, Trooper bear, Boba Fettbear and others I cant think of at the moment!

cool Star Sars jawa scavenger drawing

Not sure who has done this drawing of a Jawa scavenger but isn’t it great. Really shows what the Jawas looked like – maybe it is a sketch of the characters when making the movie?

Jawa are those little desert-people on Tatooine, they have large, glowing eyes which look out from their dirty cloak looking clothes. Their language is really hard to understand – unless you are a Jawa I guess. They seem to work in packs but are really cowards. They work together in small little groups to collect
anything and everything that they could possible sell to anyone willing to buy. They were the ones that sold C3PO and R2D2 to Lukes uncle.

Did you know Ganno Juice is a bitter tasting, thick juice that just about all races hate, all except the Jawas – the love the black Ganno syrup.
