A Star Wars behind the scenes photo. Carrie Fisher and Warwick Davis (Ewok Wicket) on the set of Return of the Jedi behind the scenes. Warwick Davis was 11 years old when he did the Star Wars movie. He was originally cast as an extra Ewok, but Kenny Baker, who was originally going to be Wicket, fell ill, George Lucas picked Davis to be the new Wicket after seeing how he carried himself as an Ewok.

This photo was taken at the set showing Jabba The Hutt (looks like they are sitting on him) and Pricess Leia in a bikini when she was his slave.

Fun Fact - Warwick Ashley Davis was born on the 3rd February 1970. He played the title characters in Willow and the Leprechaun film series, Ewok Wicket in Star Wars Return of the Jedi and Professor Filius Flitwick and Griphook in the Harry Potter films. Davis was also in the funny TV series Life's Too Short and An Idiot Abroad , written and directed by Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant.

Star Wars fact : There is an airstrip near the Imperial City on Coruscant called Biggs Field and it was named this to honour Biggs Darklighter's great sacrifice he made during the Battle of Yavin.

Star Wars fun facts -  In the book Tales from the Mos Eisley Cantina a stormtrooper squadron called Alvien was assigned to set up roadblocks around Mos Eisley in order to try to stop C-3PO and R2-D2 from escaping the planet Tatooine.

Luke Skywalkers adoptive Uncle was Owen Lars. Owen was Obi-Wan Kenobi’s younger brother and people always thought he would be as great as his famous brother. Owen did not want that kind of stress, so he moved to Tatooine with his wife, Beru Weth, and they set up a moisture farm.

You know the story - They raised Luke as their own son and did their best to keep Luke from realising his true identity. Owen bought the R2-D2 and C-3PO droids , Luke tried to talk him into going to the Academy early. Owen refused to let him go. Luke stormed off. Owen Lars was killed when a group of Stormtroopers were tracking down R2-D2 and C-3PO and burnt down the moisture farm when they did not fine them.

Phil Brown was the actor playing Owen Lars in Star Wars movie but Thomas Hill did the character in the Radio version.

This is a pretty good behind the scenes Star Wars photo showing all the main actors from all the Star Wars movies made plus George Lucas holding a Yoda puppet.

Jar Jar Binks, like most Gungans, was skinny, lanky and had big frills behind his head. He was exiled from Otoh Gunga for repeatedly making blunders that placed other Gungan members in danger, including crashing Boss Nass’ heyblibber, swamping Boss Nass’s mansion while standing-in as a caterer, and opening the bubbles of the creatures in Otoh Gunga’s zoo.

Jar Jar was eating clams and drifting around the marshlands of Naboo when the Trade Federation began landing its assault force. He was saved by Qui-Gon Jinn, who rescued Jar Jar from added disciplinary action by demanding a life-debt on him. Boss Nass was hesitant to relinquish the chance to penalize Jar Jar, but was forced to comply with the life debt. Jar Jar then travelled with Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan Kenobi, aiding in protecting Queen Amidala throughout her skirmish with the Federation.

Jar Jar’s relationship with Queen Amidala led to a better relationship when she asked Boss Nass for support in the Battle of Naboo. Boss Nass attributed Jar Jar with getting the Gungans and humans together in peace, and was promoted to the rank of General for his hard work. Jar Jar Binks was acted by Ahmad Best in the movie Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace.

Here is a fantastic Star Wars movie – made completely in paper. Gee some people are talented, aren’t they? I am not sure about the music that plays, doesn’t suit the movie for me.

Some R2-D2 facts.

Alvien was the name of the Stormtrooper squadron that was assigned to set up blockades in Mos Eisley to stop R2-D2 and C-3PO from fleeing Tatooine.

In the first draft of Star Wars Artoo Deetoo was designated A-2 not R2-D2 .

According to the original Revell model kit, R2-D2's serial number was Y477Q90 and the instruction sheet says that R2-D2 was manufactured by Imperial Cybernetics Corporation.

Star Wars movies IV, V, VI online and in Lego

Well this isn’t a cool Star Wars photo but is a cool Star Wars video. This online video show the best three Star Wars movies – the original trilogy episodes IV - A New Hope, V - The Empire Strikes Back, and VI - Return of the Jedi. All in with Star Wars Lego and all three movies in around three minutes.

I assume these Star Wars bears are toys you can buy but then again maybe someone has just made them up  themselves – I don’t know. Either way that look pretty good and I can see people wanting to collect these star wars teddy bears.

Owen Lars & Aunt Beru charred - Another rare action figure toy

Yet another rare Star Wars action figure as a joke. Poor old Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru, Luke Skywalker would not be happy.

Did you know that just before Owen Lars bought C-3PO he bought a R5-D4 droid and remember it blew up it’s motivator servo just after it was bought so in the end Owen bought R2-D2. Well in the old Star Wars Radio Drama it has that R2-D2 tampered with the R5-D4 so that its motivator would fail so he could get picked. Sneaky, hey. R2-D2 isn’t so nice is it?

This photo, behind the scenes during the making of Star Wars Episode IV (the best episode), shows George Lucas standing next to R2D2. I am not sure if it is RD-D2 or some other model. Maybe it is a R2-D2 prototype mock-up?

Cool Star Wars fun fact: Tauntaun is a cold -weather beast that resembles a fur covered lizard that walks on its back legs plus has curled horns. Belonging to the ice planet Hoth, these beasts are frequently found inside huge herds, rushing around the icy plains on their big, three-toed paws. They boast tough, coarse lips so as to let them to graze lichens plus moss off open rocks for food. This is not the only type of food they eat they sometimes eat small rat like creatures as well. At night they search for night-time shelter inside caves, because they are not able to stay alive in the tough night weather.

They had been used with the Alliance as a type of horse throughout their occupancy on Echo Base. The Tauntaun has a distinctive, arctic hardy blood that  makes it possible for it to stay alive on the Hoth landscape. There are a few varieties of Tauntaun on Hoth but they all possess the same distinctive blend of reptile and mammal qualities. The Tauntaun is the Wampa ice creatures preferential supply of food.
